My goodness, look at this little cutie.
On May 1,2014, Drea took her daughter, Audri, to the ER as she had been sick for a few days.
One week before, she had visited an emergency clinic where they put Audri on antibiotics for tonsillitis.
After the week of medicine, she had not gotten any better.
Expecting a diagnosis of dehydration or possibly pneumonia AT THE WORST, she instead received the devastating news that her precious 3-1/2 year old baby girl had Leukemia.
Everything she knew as normal came tumbling down.
Audri’s chemotherapy treatment was estimated to last 2.5 years.
Here’s the best news of all…this past July, Audri was declared cancer free.
Today’s run was a double workout for Audri.
The morning run was hill repeats on the treadmill. The speed was supposed to be faster, but for the 1st hour of the run my legs wouldn’t loosen up. Instead of stopping though, I stuck with it for Audri and lo and behold, things got better in the last 30 minutes.
The afternoon run was an hour on grass at an easy pace.
Audri, you did it, kiddo. You beat cancer AND got me through today’s workouts.
Who will you meet tomorrow?
