HOUSTON (June 16, 2020)- Houston based, Snowdrop Foundation, Inc awarded college scholarships to 91 pediatric cancer survivors. The announcement was made during a Facebook Live broadcast.
This year’s scholarships totaled over $275,000.
“Due to the pandemic, while many organizations are finding it difficult to meet their financial needs, Snowdrop Foundation has unwavering support from our donors, sponsors and volunteers who understand how important these academic funds are to our students, that they may continue their education and build upon their legacy of being a survivor. This support empowers our recipients to achieve their educational, professional and personal goals.” Kevin Kline President and Founder.
To qualify for a Snowdrop Foundation, Inc. scholarship, applicants must have been diagnosed with cancer before the age of 20. The application is open to all childhood cancer survivors and current patients, attending or planning to attend an institution of higher education in the United States.
The scholarships are applied for annually and applicants can apply every year they are enrolled in school.
“In the 14 years that the Snowdrop Foundation, Inc. scholarship program has existed we have awarded 731 scholarships totaling $ $2,092,114,” Kline stated.
