Texas you can NOW get a license plate to help raise awareness for Childhood Cancer.
The TXDVM released the NEW Childhood Cancer Awareness plate. From the $30 specialty plate fee, $22 would go to the Texas General Land Office for grants for the Snowdrop Foundation to support its mission; to give college scholarship to childhood cancer survivors and current patients as well as fund research for pediatric cancer.

We have received a few questions about the Texas Childhood Cancer Awareness Plate. We thought we would answer some of them here.
Q) Do I have to wait till my registration is due?
A) No. You can order it right now and you can pick it up from the TXdmv in about 14 Days.
Q) What’s the difference in the ‘Single Set’ plate vs ‘Personalize’ plate?
A) Single Set Plate is $30 the TXdmv will assign you a plate number. The Personalized is an additional $40, you choose what it says, customers on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to additional review and approval.
Q) Are the Childhood Cancer Awareness plate charges in addition to the normal registration fee?
A) Yes. Specialty license plate fees are in addition to the regular registration fees and must be paid each year.
Q) How much money goes to Childhood Cancer Programs out of the sell of the plate?
A) From the $30 specialty plate fee, $22 goes to the Texas General Land Office for grants to the Snowdrop Foundation for scholarships for pediatric cancer patients and survivors and cancer research.
Q) Can the Childhood Cancer Awarness Plate have the (ISA) International Symbol of Access on it?
A)The International Symbol of Access (ISA) counts as two (2) characters and will be located at the beginning of the plate number. If you are disabled and applying for personalized specialty plates, the plate may consist of only two or three. Use a
percent sign (%) to indicate the International Symbol of Access.
**To display the International Symbol of Access (ISA) on your license plate, you must attach a signed Form VTR-214 to this
application to show your eligibility for the International Symbol of Access. The ISA is available for vehicles 18,000 lbs. or less.

Q) Do they have Souvenir Childhood Cancer Awareness license plates?
A) Yes. Souvenir License Plate do not represent registration and cannot be used on any motor vehicle. Souvenir plates are $20 per plate with no personalization. Souvenir plates can be personalized for an additional $20.
***The Childhood Cancer Awareness plate is currently not listed on the souvenir form (VTR-998), as it is currently in the process of being updated. If a customer would like to order a souvenir plate, the plate type can be written on the application.
