Brad Joyal is a sports reporter at the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner. He was the 1st person to ever respond to my messages about running The Dalton Highway.
These are his words along with a link to the article he wrote from after our meeting this week.
“Back in March, Kevin Kline reached out to me and shared his plan to run the final 300 miles of the Dalton Highway in November 2019 in an effort to spread awareness and raise money for childhood cancer research. Even after he told me he had completed more than 100 marathons, I thought about the sub-zero temperatures and icy conditions he’d meet on the Dalton, which is widely regarded as the most dangerous highway in North America. His whole idea seemed … Well, BONKERS to put it mildly.
I had the pleasure of linking up with them and learning more about the Delivering Hope Run and the Snowdrop Foundation. I’ve got to say, the whole conversation blew me away.
I know these are hectic times and there’s a lot of divisive news being shared across the USA. If you want to read an inspiring story about somebody who is doing everything they can to make the world a better place, check out this story I wrote about Kevin’s plan to run the Dalton.”
