Snowdrop Foundation Junior Board Application
The Snowdrop Foundation, Inc. Jr Board will consist of teen volunteers to support & promote the mission of Snowdrop Foundation, Inc.
The Jr Board will assist Snowdrop Foundation by engaging the next generation of leaders, empowering teens through volunteering. As peer influencers and spokespersons, Jr Board members will be leaders of action & ambassadors of childhood cancer awareness.
Engaging in & creating one event each fiscal year
Eligibility
• Jr Board members must be between 12 & 19 yrs. old
• All Jr Board candidates must fill out the application.
Jr Board Member Job Description
1. Regularly attend Jr Board & related meetings via in-person or Zoom
2. Commit to participate actively in committee work & planning
3. Volunteer for & willingly accept assignments, complete them thoroughly & on time
4. Network with other Jr Board members & build a working relationship that contributes to personal and organizational growth
5. Help create & participate in one fundraising event per year
Term of Service
• Members participate for 24 months of a 2-year term, from July to July of the following year. The first two months will consist of orientation & training while the remaining months will focus on the work of the Jr Board.
• You will receive service hours for your participation in the Jr Board.
• All Jr Board members will have the option to apply to serve a second term
• Two members, selected by the Executive Board and Cindy Waylan Assistant Director, will be appointed to an additional two-month term to provide peer mentorship & guidance for incoming Jr Board members
