SNOWDROP ULTRA VIRTUAL 55
Snowdrop ULTRA Virtual 55 Hour Race and Relay wants to inspire you to do something BIG, INSPIRATIONAL, POSITIVE and HEALTHY during this time of uncertainty. It is a race you do on your own but with other runners all over the world! It’s the perfect way to safely race during the coronavirus pandemic.
SOLO RUNNERS…Run as many miles as you can in 55 CONSECUTIVE hours. The race will begin on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 at 12:00 am. You must complete your race by Sunday, Jan 3, 2021 at 12:00 midnight. Once you start your 55 hours the clock does not stop. Run on a treadmill, run outside, run by yourself, run with friends…JUST RUN.
The week of Dec. 13th, you will receive an email with a link to our “Honor System” form. Once you finish your 100 miles (or more) you will go on-line, fill out the “Honor System” form where you’ll indicate your mileage, order your buckle if you’d like to purchase one and submit.
Each Solo runner will receive a bib and a commemorative patch.
RELAY TEAMS…A Relay Team is comprised of a maximum of 10 members. To set up a team, select a Captain, choose a team name, set up a password and pay the Team entry fee of $100.
Teams can run their 55 CONSECUTIVE hours anytime between Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 at 12:00 am until Sunday, Jan 3, 2021 at 12:00 midnight. Once your 55-hour clock has started it does not stop. We want this to be in true relay form. One person running at a time with a ‘handoff’ (can be virtual) to the next runner.
Each team member will receive a bib and a commemorative patch.
Buckles are ONLY AWARDED TO SOLO RUNNERS. Gist Silversmiths has been our official craftsman of our custom buckles for the last 8 years. Always made in the USA, they take approx. 6 – 8 weeks to complete and will cost the following;
100 mile buckle – $100 plus appropriate shipping.
150 mile buckle – $125 plus appropriate shipping.
200 mile buckle – $150 plus appropriate shipping.
250 mile buckle – $175 plus appropriate shipping.
Proceeds from this race benefits the Snowdrop Foundation, Inc.
FUNDRAISING…This is a fundraising event. If you would like to be a fundraiser that option is available during registration. Raise $1000 or more and receive a limited-edition Snowdrop Jacket.
RAFFLE…Just for entering our race you will get one raffle ticket. For every $100 you raise, you will receive one additional raffle ticket. (Example: register and raise $700 you get 8 raffle tickets). Raffle prizes include everything from really cool swag items to Snowdrop merchandise and so much more!!
While the country battles COVID-19, thousands of children and families continue to battle childhood cancer. Even during the pandemic, Childhood Cancer remains the number one cause of death by disease for children in the U.S. and around the world.
Think of your worst day of running. Think about your hard training. Think about your blisters, your black toes and your aching muscles. Now think of how lucky you are that you’re able to run because right now there is a child who can’t because they are trying to beat cancer. You can do something about this. Right here! Right now!
